As the world starts to reopen from COVID-19 quarantines, there are a lot of different aspects of the Florida theme park reopenings to keep track of. For the latest information on Florida theme park reopening plans, I will post details here as I receive them. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom plans to begin operations on July 11.
EPCOT and Hollywood Studios plans to o begin operation on July 15
 
Requirements: Masks are required for everyone ages 3 and up, advance park entry ticket purchase required, limited capacity and Temperature checks required at park entrances.
 
Parades and nighttime spectaculars – will return at a later date, as will “high-touch” experiences such as makeover opportunities, playgrounds and character meet and greets. Characters will still be in the parks to entertain and delight Guests.
 
Universal Studios Florida Lake

Universal Studos Florida

Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay will welcome guests beginning June 5.
 
Requirements: Face covering required. Temperature checks required upon arrival. Please follow floor markings to maintain social distances. Use hand sanitizer often.
 
They recommend using cashless payments through their mobile app.
Reservations will not be required to enter parks, but they are limiting capacity.
They will have a Virtual Line.
TheVirtual Line experience allows guests to select a time to experience an attraction via the Official Universal Orlando Resort App so they’re minimizing the time they’re actually waiting in the queue line. Guests can make Virtual Line selections while they’re onsite at the parks on the day of their visit, and it will be available for select attractions.
 They will also provide hand sanitizer that will be required to get on a ride.
Once inside the park, there will also be new signs to implement social distancing within the park.
 
They announced that nearly everything in the parks will be open, but do not say what specifically will be closed.

Reopening June 1st. Face masks are highly recommended, though I’m not seeing anything on their websites saying they are required. But they will have disposable masks on hand should you need them. They also offer recommendations for usage of face masks
Face coverings should not be placed on: Children under 2 years of age, people who have trouble breathing, or anyone who is unable to remove the face covering without assistance
Safety Measures:
  • Non-invasive temperature checks are required.
  • There will be markers in place to maintain social distancing requirements.
  • Certain areas, water fountains, restaurants, stores or attractions in the Theme Park and Water Park may be temporarily suspended during your visit as a part of these safety measures and to help maintain social distancing.
  • They have introduced a large number of hygiene stations/hand sanitizer dispensers around the Resort for guests to use and included these locations in their mobile app so they are easy to find.

SeaWorld Orlando & Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

 
Reopening June 11th. Reservations along with ticket will be required to entire park.
Employees and guests 2 years of age and older must wear face coverings while in the park. Guests are not required to wear the while eating and drinking, or in designated relaxation areas of the park.
When guests and employees arrive on-property, they must undergo and pass temperature screening using the CDC temperature recommendation of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
 
To promote proper physical distancing throughout the parks,SeaWorld will install signage and markings throughout guest areas (including on the ground) to identify appropriate, six-foot physical distancing. Lounge chair seating will also be modified to maintain physical distancing. They will also encourage contactless payments and plexi-glass will be installed in high-traffic or close-contact areas to maintain a physical barrier.
